Project Pinterest March

It's time for another episode of Project Pinterest! (and yes I know I'm a day late ;-))

In this series I will let myself be inspired by Pinterest to scrap, cook a meal, bake a pie, do my hair, my nails, et cetera. As many of you, I could browse around Pinterest for days on end, but I rarely really use any of my repinned images. And that's a shame, because there's so much good stuff outthere!

This month a non-scrappy edition. I let myself be inspired by this terrarium  by The clean slate. I was looking for some 'greens' for the home, but it has to be something low-maintenance because I usually let everything die :$

Project Pinterest February

It's time for another episode of Project Pinterest! 

In this series I will let myself be inspired by Pinterest to scrap, cook a meal, bake a pie, do my hair, my nails, et cetera. As many of you, I could browse around Pinterest for days on end, but I rarely really use any of my repinned images. And that's a shame, because there's so much good stuff outthere!

This month I let myself be inspired by this layout by Elizabeth Carney. I love how she used the letters as a background to her picture; I used numbers instead.. to match the theme of the layout.

Here is my finished layout:

I'm quite happy with how the layout turned out. Especially with the left side, the clock with the Instagram pics:-)

Project Pinterest December

A little later than usual and since time is flying by so fast December is almost over already... But let's not get ahead, because we still have some beautiful Christmas days to come :-) 

It's time for another episode of Project Pinterest! Wasn't sure if I would get round to it this month, but I did :-)

In this series I will let myself be inspired by Pinterest to scrap, cook a meal, bake a pie, do my hair, my nails, et cetera. As many of you, I could browse around Pinterest for days on end, but I rarely really use any of my repinned images. And that's a shame, because there's so much good stuff outthere!

This month I let myself be inspired by this layout by Stephanie Howell. I really loved the simplicity of her layout.

And this is my finished layout:

For this layout I mostly used papers and stickers from the Basic Grey Marrakech Collection and my Silhouette Cameo:-)

I have to admit the layout didn't turn out as I had hoped. The simple thing is probably not working for me.. It makes me feel like the page isn't finished.

This month I let myself be inspired by this layout by Geralyn Sy. I loved the misted circles so I wanted to have a try at this myself:-)

For this layout I mostly used papers from ILS, as well as several Mr. Huey's from Studio Calico and the class cut from the Cut it Out class by Studio Calico and Silhouette:-)

For this layout I used several kits from Studio Calico from the months of April, May and June of 2012, as well as the geotag stamp by Kelly Purkey and some washi :-)

Project pinterest

Ok, now that I've proven to myself that I can keep this blog going for at least a month, it's time for a new step in my blogging-life: a recurring subject, a subject-series, you name it :-) To make it easy for myself I'll just start it on a monthly basis and we'll see how that goes :-) My first blog series will be........

To kick off this first month of Project Pinterest with a *bang* I chose three things to be inspired from:-) 

September Project Pinterest #1: Coconut Shrimp Curry

And this is how my project turned out:

I changed the rice for Orzo (a type of pasta). Furthermore I used different types of herbs. I loved the taste of this dish, but it was a little too liquid to my liking. This may be due to the difference in the metric systems:-)

September Project Pinterest #2: Layout with a (misted) sunburst

I loved the misted burst and to stay 'on trend' I made an ombre burst :-) Love how it turned out. The wood veneer stars have to be my favourite embellishment ever (as you can see). I love all things stars! And ofcourse I was geeked about getting to use one of my fab KP stamps :-)
